The Rhine promenade invites leisurely strolls and cycling, offering scenic views and a vibrant atmosphere, especially during warmer months when the banks take on a Mediterranean feel. Pack a picnic, perhaps with goodies from the Marktplatz, or join the locals for a barbecue along the Kleinbasel side. Hop aboard one of the four charming cable ferries, Fähri, that silently glide across the Rhine, powered solely by the river's natural current – a truly timeless experience. As the day winds down, relax and soak in the lively atmosphere at the numerous "Buvettes," delightful open-air refreshment stalls lining the riverbanks, offering snacks, drinks, and picturesque views.
